Abstract

The article presents a comparative analysis of archival documents and reports of source value on the activities of charitable societies of Turkestan province in the Ferghana region in the late XIX - early XX centuries. Also, in the cities of Skobelev (new Margilan), old Margilan, Kokand, Namangan, Andijan, Osh, sections of the Turkestan Charitable Society were opened, under which sections "Association for the Care of Orphans" (Skobelev), "Donation House" (Kokand, Skobelev), a branch of the society "Service and Kindness to the Elderly" operate people, the local population" Ferghana regional branch of the Turkestan Society of the infirmary of the wounded and sick - The Department of the donation Society "Turkestan Commercial and Industrial Brotherhood", the Firm "G.M.Solovyov and co." also studied the activities of charitable societies, such as the "Lazarus Society of the Old Believer".
