Abstract

The article is devoted to the methodology of teaching Uzbek decorative and applied arts for students in grades 5-6. The authors of the study present a systematic approach to developing skills in traditional Uzbek needlework techniques, as well as developing artistic perception and creative thinking in students of younger age groups. The article discusses in detail the features of the choice of materials, methods of working with students, adapted to their age characteristics, and the use of modern educational technologies in the learning process. The results of the study allow us to conclude that the proposed methodology is effective, facilitating not only the acquisition of traditional skills and abilities, but also the development of the creative potential of students in the context of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
