The problem of the formation and manifestation of tolerance in student youth is revealed. The inconsistency of the interpretation of this concept in various disciplines is determined, as well as the uncertainty of the attitude towards it in modern society. At the same time, it is explained what consequences intolerance can have on the socio-cultural differences of people. The features of youth in the development of social attitudes and behavior are described. In the context of obtaining higher education, methods of demonstrating tolerance in student youth are being considered. the peculiarities of its manifestation are described for different categories of people, as well as work experience in demonstrating tolerance in students.
